12 Days of “We Off That” #7: “The Thug Life”

It’s time for “men” running the streets to grow up…

It’s sad to see that some men are still “playing” with guns as well as peoples’ lives. Still running the streets. Still in gangs. Still selling drugs. And still setting bad examples for the future generation. What these “men” don’t know is that opportunity lies outside of the street but their ignorance won’t allow them to see that. The “thug life” is all they’ve ever known. (I lost one of my closest friends to that kind of life; he’s a completely different person. Today it’s like I’ve never even known the guy and that’s probably for the better…)

Hopefully, 2010 will see people thinking for themselves and not let influences guide their life path. And hopefully those involved in the streets will see that opportunity lies elsewhere–even more so than in the streets, because the “thug life”–we are definitely off that!

I totally agree! It’s like being a “Thug” is a real occupation in todays world. Like my Dad says,”all the real gangstas are in jail or dead.” Luv this post!!
